Early Arrivals and Late Departures
Check-in time is 3:00 PM and check-out time is 11:00 AM (Noon on Sundays). We will be happy to grant requests for early arrivals and/or late departures as our occupancy permits. There is a day rest rate which allows you to extend your check-out time to 3 p.m. The rate varies by season. Please check with our guest service agent, 800-463-6465 or email, to confirm the rate that would apply to your booking date.
If your arrival is early in the day and you prefer immediate access, we recommend reserving for the prior night to guarantee access. Similarly, for late departures, reserving an additional night will guarantee access until you leave the hotel. If you choose not to reserve, we will be glad to store your bags.
A guaranteed reservation assures you of a room even if you check in late (after midnight). All reservations made through the website must be guaranteed by a major credit card.

A valid credit card is required to guarantee all reservations and must be presented upon arrival. Your credit card will be pre-authorized at check-in for the cost of your guestroom including tax, and a $100 security deposit for standard and deluxe rooms, and $250 for suites. If the credit card holder will not be the actual hotel guest and will not be here in person to sign for the charges, then a Credit Card Authorization form must be filled out, signed and faxed or emailed to the Inn prior to the guest's arrival. Please note: while pre-paid credit cards are an acceptable method of payment upon checkout, we are unable to accept them at check in, or as a method of guaranteeing and/or securing your guestroom.
Choice Hotels, Choice Privileges & AeroPlan
In 2009, Inn on the lake became Choice Hotel’s first Ascend affiliate in Canada. Guests can register for or redeem Choice Privileges rewards and privileges here. Alternatively, they can choose to collect Aeroplan Points with each visit.
Guests are invited to book their accommodation through the Choice Reservation System. Guests should be aware that the Choice reservation system only uses your card information to complete the registration form and no charges are processed against the card unless, you have chosen the advanced purchase rate which is prepaid and non-refundable. When you check into the Inn, we will process your card to secure the necessary funds for your room and security deposit.
Third Party Bookings

The Inn makes every effort to update third party sites on our current policies, procedures and services, it is up to them to to advise their clients of such. We strongly suggest all clients check with this site or contact our guest service agent, 800-463-6465 or email, to avoid any misinformation.
All special arrangements made with third parties on discounted rates based on advanced purchases are between the client and the third party – not the Inn. Guests looking to make last minute changes to these reservations should contact their third party booking representative for resolution.
Inn on the Lake offers a complimentary airport shuttle to and from the airport for overnight guests. Guests are limited to one return trip per room night. The shuttle runs daily, every half hour from 5AM to midnight based on demand and should be requested in advance.
Children 17 years and under, staying in their parents’ room, stay free. Additional rollaway beds will be charged a rate of $10 per day. Playpens are complimentary. Children can also stay in adjacent guest rooms under guardian supervision.

Wireless internet is available in all guestrooms and throughout the common areas. A computer is located in the hotel lobby and guest access is complimentary.
Inn on the Lake is located at 3009 Highway 2, Fall River, Nova Scotia. This is approximately a 10-minute drive from Robert Stanfield International Airport and a 20-minute drive from downtown Halifax. Our GPS coordinates are: 44° 48' 53"N, -63° 36' 42" E. Please see map for further details.
The Inn offers four meeting rooms, the largest of which can accommodate 100 people for a stand-up reception, 80 for a sit-down meal, and 50 for a business meeting. Please see the “Meetings” and “Special Events” sections for more information.
The Inn is a haven for rest, relaxation and romance for many of our guests. As such, management will not tolerate any excessive noise or any behavior that may be disruptive to other guests. The Inn will take action to resolve noise and disturbance complaints immediately.
The Inn does not offer facilities for dancing or impromptu parties.
We offer room service and on-site dining at Encore Dining Room, Oliver’s Gastropub, and seasonally, on our Poolside Patio. Please see the “Dining” and “Pub” sections for more information on our culinary selections.
Inn on the Lake offers complimentary on-site parking to all guests. Upon checking in, overnight guests will receive a parking pass to be displayed in their car’s window. We also offer a Stay & Fly package which includes one night's accommodation and parking for up to two weeks. Additional weekly parking can be arranged for hotel guests. Please see our "Specials & Packages" section for more information.
Pets are permitted at the Inn in designated "pet friendly" rooms located on the first floor that are easily accessible to our park lands. There is a nominal additional charge for these rooms.
Dogs cannot be left unattended in their rooms. While on property, dogs must be kept on a leash. Dog Waste Bags and treats are available at the front desk.
Photocopy and fax services are provided 24 hours a day at the front desk for a nominal fee. Outgoing mail can be dropped off at the front desk and the message light on your guest room phone will be turned on should a message arrive for you.
Smoking is only permitted in designated areas of the hotel grounds. If you choose to smoke on your balcony, please remember to close your patio door and be considerate of others who may be out on their balconies.
There will be a $250 charge applied to your bill should your room smell like smoke upon your departure.
Taxes charged on hotel rooms are 15% HST plus 2% Hotel Tax, and a$2.00 Hotel Service Fee.
